Sofia Carson (born on April 10, 1993 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) is an American singer and actress. She was signed as a bilingual singer-songwriter to BMI Records in 2012. She made her first television appearance in 2014 when was cast as a guest star on the hit Disney series, Austin & Ally. Soon after, she appeared on the MTV series Faking It, playing Soleil. In 2015, she starred as Evie in the Disney Channel original movie, Descendants, which had a July 31 premiere. It was announced in January, 2015, that Sofia had landed the starring role in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Further Adventures in Babysitting, starring alongside Sabrina Carpenter. The film was given an early 2016 release date.
