Josh Brown (born Joshua Brown on April 29, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an American professional football player. Josh grew up in Tusla until he was in eighth-grade. He enrolled into the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, playing with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Seattle Seahawks drafted him as the 222nd overall pick in the 2003 NFL draft. In an Oct. 2003 game with the Green Bay Packers, he kicked a 58-yard field goal, the longest of his career. His tenure with the Seahawks had him kick the game-winning field goal against the St. Louis Rams in 2006. Though the Seattle Seahawks used their franchise tag on him in 2007, he signed with the St. Louis Rams in 2008 for a $14.2 million dollar deal that made him the NFL’s highest paid kicker at the time. He was cut in 2012, the final year of his deal with the Rams. He signed with the New York Jets in May 2012, but was released in August of that year. He spent one season with the Cincinnati Bengals before signing with the New York Giants in 2013. He was selected to the 2015 Prow Bowl. In 2016, Josh was suspended for one game by the NFL for violating the league’s conduct policy following a 2015 domestic violence charge.

Personal Life:
FJosh is a Christian. In May 2015, he was arrested in Woodinville, Washington on a fourth-degree domestic violence charge. His wife, Molly, claimed Brown grabbed her wrist while he picked up her phone. Five days after the arrest, charges were dropped, but in Oct. 2016, an investigation uncovered documents that revealed Josh’s confession for constantly abusing his wife. His journals and private emails, turned over to the police by Josh’s wife, show him referring to Molly as his “slave” and that he confessed to abusing her in front of her children.
